Hyped, loved, feared - artificial intelligence, technology and science in art?
Five different artistic positions invite reflection and discussion!

Anna Pelz, Lukas Lex and Moritz Wildburger are students at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and will present works as part of an AI café. They critically examine the social, cultural and political dimensions of new technologies such as AI and their transformative power within our society. They address the effects of the interaction between humans and machines and reactions such as fear and fetishization in order to make facets and shades visible.

Vanessa Mazanik, Daniel Mazanik and Begi Guggenheim come from media studies, space technology and sculpture. As a result of the interaction of these areas, they make a sculpture float. It is an attempt to abolish the old logic of the medium of sculpture as a static and representative image and to realize the magic of levitation with physical precision. This idea is expanded by Vanessa Mazanik, who uses Augmented Reality to transfer levitation from analog to digital space.

With a large spruce cone carpet, Christian Eisenberger creates an intervention that spreads out on the floor in front of the viewer in an emotional and effective way. Different external influences result in amazing color effects. From a binary, signs and surfaces as well as complex meaning and sensory connections unfold in space.
