„Kunst am Bau/Percent for art“ excursion with Fabian Seiz and George Kubla. Vienna/Wien: Erdberg, Prattercottage, Prater. Saturday October 14, 2023
The excursion „Kunst am Bau/ Percent for art“ on the topic of „Kunst am Bau“, art in architecture, Rotes Wien, Prater, history of Vienna will take place on Saturday October 14th, 2023.
The meeting point is at Hanuschhof, Ludwig-Kößler-Platz 4, 1030 Vienna at the Café zum Neuen Glück between 2 and 2:30 p.m. The walks starts at 2:30 p.m.
The tour leads from Hanuschhof to the Remise, Don Bosco Church, Erdberger Hof to Fiakerplatz, Leonhardgasse then Rabenhof, Keinergasse, further towards Erdbergstrasse to the former Rüdenhof (Richard Löwenherz capture). Then we go over the Rotunden Bridge into the Pratercottage, pass the Fritz Wotruba Atelier, head towards the Franz-Mair-Hof and finally walk into the Prater itself to the Kugelmugel and the Calafati and Fortuna figures. Duration approx. 2 hours. Finished with a Geisterbahn/ghost train ride. Finally we are going to have a bee wit discussion, exchange, networking.
The city walk is accompanied by the two artists Fabian Seiz and George Kubla. Artistic and social aspects are discussed. Fabian Seiz has already made „Kunst am Bau“ himself, and his work in Keinergasse is part of the excursion. The sculptor George Kubla will make a comparison between the sculpture and mosaic in the Vienna municipal building and those in the Soviet Union. The tour is moderated by Andreas Schlichtner.
