THE COLLECTION AS AN EXHIBITION - ACAC Austrian Contemporary Art Collectors - May 20-29, 2026, KRINZINGER SCHOTTENFELD

What is actually being collected in Austria?

ACAC – Austrian Contemporary Art Collectors – presents "The Collection" as an exhibition from May 20 to 29, 2026, offering rare insights into ten private art collections and making visible what usually remains private.

The exhibition features works by established Austrian and internationally renowned artists – including Martha Jungwirth, Arnulf Rainer and  Christian Eisenberger – as well as works by newcomers and emerging talents.

With an accompanying panel discussion on the future of collecting, ACAC expands the exhibition to include a discursive dimension, bringing collectors, artists, and other stakeholders in the art world into dialogue.

ACAC's goal is to create a sustainable network among private collectors and to place artistic positions from different generations – established artists as well as emerging talents without gallery representation – within a shared public context.
