about the artist
In 2000, Klaudia Stöckl began her work with abstract interpretations of landscapes. To do this, she translates the impression of nature in to artworks that capture various moods.
The artist, who lives in the Mostviertel/Austria, draws abundantly from her immediate surroundings. Structure, color and the contours of scenic impressions give impetus to her painting.
In the works of Klaudia Stöckl, one increasingly feels emotions and thoughts engaged. The result is not merely a seen impression, a view, but an abstract idea of the state of being visualized into form.
Since February 2017, Klaudia Stöckl has been curating exhibitions for the Kunstbank Ferrum Association. She is the chairwoman of the Kunstbank-Ferrum Association. Now run as the »Stadtgalerie« in Waidhofen an der Ybbs, a dedicated program in the field of contemporary art has been shown for many years under the title »raumimpuls«.
