about the artist

Born in 1989 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, she studied drawing and painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka, with a  graduation in 2013 & post-graduation in 2015. From 2016 to 2017 she studied printmaking at the Akademia Sztuk Pięknych im. Eugeniusza Gepperta we Wrocławiu, Poland. Since 2017 she has been studying Contextual Painting at Academy of Fine Arts Vienna,Austria. She currently lives & works in Vienna, Austria.
In 2017 Aklima’s work was part of the 1st International Print Triennial in Cieszyn, Poland, entitled “In the search of Impossible”. For her contribution she was awarded with the Dean of the Faculty of Arts Award.
