Somewhat detached from the reference point of nature, Klaudia Stöckl creates pictures that result from her masterful approach to working with color. Instead of merely earthy colors, the artist uses unexpected tones such as magenta or ultramarine which evoke strong impressions in the viewer. Her brushstrokes leaves clear traces. Fields of tension build up within her compositions, which nevertheless always revolve around one locus of attention or the other.
